An idea spawned by myself and the guys in the chat box at Hell Creek (www.hellcreek.tk).
What you see here are the most common stand-in monsters that appear in movies, TV-shows, video-games, comics etc. in the place of dinosaurs. They are also always called dinosaurs in said media, which is pretty fucking hilarious considering it is the same thing as, say, putting a unicorn into a movie and calling it a zebra, or sticking Godzilla in and calling it an iguana. I've termed them Pseudosaurs instead.
A couple of notes: yes, there are other Pseudosaur examples and I have some more lined up for a possible second piece. All titles of media refer to the whole franchise (ie. "Jurassic Park" refers to all films, books, toys and not just the first film, same for Carnosaur, Turok. etc.).
Yes, the "Spitter" is a bitchy girl. I first came up with it for the crest and frill gag and then ran with it for the rest of the labels. Lastly, Pseudosaurs are not to be confused with "Retrosaurs" which are old-fashioned views of dinosaurs who fell victim to science marching on, but were accurate for the time. Pseudosaurs are put out when evidence to the contrary is actually known.

Despite all new research and information that has been out regarding it much like every other carnivore "pseudodino" it has been turned into a bloodthirsty overly violent cold blooded killer that to this day still uses the outdated 2001 look from Jurassic Park 3,has extremely thick crocodile skin with massive spikes and scales all over it similar to the T-Rex and despite being far more bigger and deadlier if it makes contact with one it'll always lose so T-Rex fans can fill in their personal vendetta against JP3.Also instead of fishes it mostly consists of other dinosaurs as well even people and much like everyother pseudosaur after a succesful kill or even to terrify others it'll roar its lungs out.
Not to mention herbivores.
Either they're overly friendly due to eating plants and no "cool" appearance so people can make the contrast between the weak plant eaters and the badass carnivores.In case it's an armored herbivore such as a triceratops or a stegosaurus simply make them just as violent as the carnivores,throw lots of scales on them as well massive spikes and being no different from the already murderous meat-eaters except feeding on plants.Also be sure to give them elephant feet as well.
