Hell Creek Harmony

My entry for the Hell Creek art challenge: [link] which was this month to depict an archosaur from the Hell Creek formation (in celebration of the forum's 1 year anniversary) that you've never drawn before.

For me this was the globidont alligatoroid Brachychampsa montana. Alongside it is the avisaurid enantiornithine Avisaurus archibaldi.

The idea was to show the two sides of archosauria in perfect harmony with one another. I like how it turned out because it's a mesozoic scene that's just mundane, no giant megafauna or bloody battles, just a crocodilian and a dinosaur being animals.

Interestingly, another HC forum member decided to show the two sides in competition instead, using the exact same species. The two pieces are a nice juxtaposition with one another, like two halves of the same story.
