Description

My entry in the first ever Hell Creek Weekly Paleontography Challenge ([link]).

Newly described archaeopterygid from the Late Jurassic of China. (Xu et al. 2011)

The challenge was to create a full body reconstruction of X. zhengi in a non-lateral view. This was the result.

Next up will be archosauriform Vancleavea campi.

Nice texture, but there is a slight problem with the perspective of the wings and the eye seems rather small (please see link below for explanation).
