Basal titanosauriform Qiaowanlong kangxii done for the current month's Hell Creek art challenge; this one celebrating the year of the dragon with the theme of an archosaur with a suffix meaning dragon in it's name (in my case the Chinese word "-long").
Not happy with this one, but there is nothing more I can do. I used much darker pencils than usual to begin with and darkened it further from when I scanned a WIP. I just can't seem to get scanners to pick up all of the shading I do for this style.
very nice, I like the detail in this pic. Just one thing, I wouldnt make the front legs so close together, because the animal looks thin as paper that way. But everything else is gr8
I mostly unhappy with the scan rather than the actual artwork as the scanner obliterated all of the lighter shading areas (there is actually heaps more than you can see here); but there are other things too. I think the head looks bad, I don't like how the lines have stood out so much on the forelimb and I just could not get the scapula to look right, among other little nitpicky things.
He's rearing up to grab a morsel from a particularly tall tree. I had originally planned to add in the flora as well, but got lazy and it was close to the deadline.
But everything else is gr8
May I asking, what is Qiaowanlong supposed to do here?
