Description

A recent piece by :iconkarkajou1993: ([link]) and blog post by :iconsmnt2000: ([link]) inspired me to quickly whip up my own piece illustrating my thoughts on the issue.

Yes, I've left out Compsognathidae, as I am currently pondering the idea that this group is paraphyletic and actually represents juvenile carnosaurs and megalosaurs - an idea that isn't totally unsupported.

The orange text is my own educated guesses, I thought I'd disclaimer that again. Everything else is pretty much explained in the work itself, so I'll shut up now.

With the "revalation" that basal archosaurs, and even non-archosaur archosaurimorphs, were likely endotherminc [link], do you think that feathers of some sort might have already existed at the point of basal archosauria?
